Yilli provides support to homelands and communities through the NT Government’s Homelands Program. Our job is to help make life safer, healthier, and more comfortable by looking after housing, essential services, and community areas.
Working Together
Homelands are a shared responsibility.
Families and residents are asked to give small service fees to help improvethe services we provide.
If you can’t pay, Yilli still delivers basic services through NT Government funding.
By working together, we can keep your homeland strong and healthy.
How Funding Works
The NT Government gives money (grants) to service providers like Yilli.
This money is used for housing, essential services, and community maintenance. Yilli works closely with residents to make sure services meet the needs of each homeland.
Who Can Get Services (Eligibility)
To receive Homelands program funding for services, your homeland must have:
People living there as their main home for at least 6 months of the year
A recognised service provider (like Yilli) that can deliver services safely
What Services We Provide
Housing Maintenance Services (HMS)
Fixing urgent problems like power, water, gas, fire safety, or structural damage.
Routine and preventive repairs to keep homes safe and strong.
Making sure homes support healthy living.
Municipal and Essential Services (MES)
Keeping electricity, water, and sanitation systems (septic) working.
Looking after roads, waste disposal, and community areas.
Firebreaks, animal control, and environmental health activities to keep people safe.
Small ongoing works to make life easier and safer on homelands.
How We Deliver Services
Services are planned with you – residents help set the priorities.
Each homeland has a Service Delivery Plan so everyone can see what will be done.
Work is scheduled to reduce disruptions.
All services meet Australian safety and professional standards.

What Funding Can Pay For
Funding supports eligible houses and community infrastructure only. It cannot be used for businesses, schools, clinics, or ranger stations.
