Affordable housing is rental housing offered at a lower cost than the normal market price — usually no more than 75% of what similar homes in the area rent for. It’s designed to help low-to-moderate income earners access safe, secure, and stable homes that they can afford while still meeting other living costs.
Social housing is for people on the NTG priority waitlist and has rent set according to income. Affordable housing is available to eligible low–moderate income earners at below-market rent.
Processing times can vary. Applications are reviewed as they are received, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. We recommend getting your documents ready early, even before a property is listed, so you’re ready to apply when a suitable home becomes available.
You can reapply for future vacancies. We do not keep a waitlist, and unsuccessful applications are securely destroyed within 5 days.

Yes, while you can’t apply directly for social housing with us, we can connect you with emergency and short-stay accommodation options like YiSSA, as well as other support services.
